MIDDLE SCHOOL ADVISING AND MENTORING
Our youngest students meet in small groups with their advisor almost every afternoon for backpack checks, review of homework assignments, conversation, and support. In addition, 11th or 12th grade mentors work with every middle school student in programs organized by the school. The whole middle school meets regularly to learn together, serve together, and have fun together.

GRADE HEADS WHO CONNECT STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND PARENTS
The middle school and then each one of the upper school grades has a pair of teachers —the grade head and assistant grade head—who monitor the students, keep in close touch with parents, and meet with teachers at that grade regularly. They lead all-grade activities with students but they also maintain individual relationships.

OUR EXPERIENCED SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr. John Kalil has been with Field for decades, and he has not only the outside expertise that teachers and students need but also a familiarity with Field’s values and methods. He is a critical and compassionate resource for students, teachers and parents.

COLLEGE COUNSELING, ONE STUDENT AT A TIME
Field’s college counselors know their stuff—and our students. We work hard to find a strong match between each student and college because we know our families define success as something more profound than a fancy car decal. Meetings with families and students begin in 11th grade, as Christine and Mal work to help families to search and then to coordinate an application process that includes an incisive letter from the school that tells each student’s unique story.
