A Generous Community
The Field School is a unique and dedicated community that has an extraordinary history of supporting the school financially, as well as by day-to-day volunteerism. Parents help organize school events, support the athletic programs, provide the school with a unique community-provided lunch program and act as solicitors for our Annual Giving and special campaigns. The desire to give comes from being involved in the community.
A Necessary Program
Field parents have always understood that financial support beyond tuition is vital to meeting the school's regular annual operating costs. These additional funds go directly to educating students at Field. Each year, the costs of a Field education continue to rise. Maintaining the school's unique strengths — small class size and superb faculty — at the same time that we develop our campus on Foxhall Road and expand financial aid is a challenge. But it is a challenge that the Field community has never failed to meet.
Extraordinary Response
Giving by the Field community continues to grow each year. Our remarkable parents, alumni, and friends not only got us to our Foxhall Road campus, but they also have continued to see the great value in reinvesting in the school's future.

Reflecting on 13 Years as a Field Parent and Supporter
Jill Phillips addressed the current parents at the 2008 Back-to-School Night about supporting Field over her three kids' time at Field.
"Our entire family is so grateful to have stumbled upon this place – a school that I consider to be one of the healthiest, most comfortable, welcoming, transforming, yet challenging and rigorous schools there is. . . . The Annual Fund bridges the difference between tuition and cost of a Field education – yes, a Field education is very expensive, but there is no better investment. It’s an investment in excellent teachers, terrific programs and support systems, small classes with lots of individual attention, and the value of all kinds of diversity."
