The Field School believes that keeping your mind active over the summer is a great idea — and reading is a way to stay in the game while also having fun.

Summer reading can teach students that reading combines entertainment with enlightenment, and we try to choose books and films that stimulate while they grab students' attention.  Most students will have summer reading (and/or viewing) in both history and English.  Some elective courses (primarily for juniors and seniors) also require summer reading.
