  • Course Placement & Registration

Thank you for joining us for course placement on April 17th! Our Department Chairs are hard at work placing your students in the appropriate courses for the fall.

You will receive your student’s schedule in mid-to-late August through the parent & student portal.
  • Technology

    Student and Parent Portal
Students and parents will both have access to our portal.

Students: you will get your username and password information for the portal in August.
Parents: your username and password for the portal is the same as the log-in information you used to sign your contract.

    Student Email Addresses
All Field students will receive a Field School email address. Our Technology Department will communicate your email address and password to you in mid-August.

Apple Bring Your Own Device Program
The Field School is committed to the purposeful and meaningful infusion of technology and 21st century skills in support of its mission. The use of digital devices is one of the many tools we utilize in inquiry and discovery-based learning. A significant step toward this goal is ensuring each student has the appropriate tools in hand that make this vision a reality and offering the technical support necessary to do this responsibly.

With this in mind, a single platform, Apple-based BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program will be implemented for the 2021-2022 school year. Families will be responsible for ensuring their student(s) have an Apple laptop for learning at Field.

The rationale for this initiative includes:
    • The BYOD model removes the school as an intermediary in monitoring device usage that aligns with family values, while promoting student agency and responsibility in the care of their personal device.

    • Apple’s MacOS provides platform uniformity across the campus for the instruction and technology support for your child. Teachers can consistently depend on the tools available to all students and plan learning experiences to utilize these tools for classroom learning.

    • The majority of Apple software has been purposely designed for educational purposes and integrate smoothly into the learning environment at Field. This software provides students with powerful creativity and production tools to demonstrate their learning and engage with content in authentic ways.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jason Kaiser, Senior Technology Lead.
  • Student Billing and Tuition Payment

The first tuition payment for 2021-2022 is due July 1, 2021. Stay tuned for more information regarding student billing and tuition payments - our Business Office will be in touch with you in mid-May.

If you have questions regarding billing and tuition payments, please contact Richard Lyon in our Business Office.
  • Back To School Forms

The Field School uses Magnus Health, a secure online system, for all forms. Starting July 1, 2021 when you log into the Field parent portal, you will see an orange Magnus Health button that will take you directly to the Magnus Health website. Most of the required forms for your student(s) will be listed once you log in.

The forms that need to be signed by a doctor and/or dentist are available here. You will need to log into your parent portal account to view them.

Per DC law, every student is required to complete a physical exam once per 12 month period and a dental exam every other year. The required medical and dental forms along with DC immunization requirements are available below. Once the DC Universal Health Certificate, DC Immunization requirements, and DC Oral Health Certificate are completed and signed by your child’s doctor/dentist, you can either upload them directly to the Magnus website, upload them using the Magnus Health mobile app, or fax them to Magnus Health using the cover sheet and instructions on the website.

If your child has any known pre-existing condition(s) with symptoms that overlap with Covid-19 - migraines or allergies, for example - we will need a note from their doctor to ensure they are not kept out of school based on symptoms related to those conditions.

If you schedule your child’s appointment before July 1, you will need to hold onto the forms until they can be uploaded after July
    1. Please feel free to contact Zanna Yardas in our Front Office with any questions.

Please do not send forms to The Field School. We will notify you of how to log in to your Magnus Health web portal once it opens for the next school year, on July 1, 2021.
  • Athletics

We're looking forward to the return of more traditional athletics programming this fall. We hope that if conditions allow, we will start fall preseason sports for our upper school athletes on August 23, 2021. Preseason is not only an important part of getting ready for the start of competition, but is also an extraordinary time for new students to meet returning students and get acquainted with the community before the full schedule begins after Labor Day.
