Say hello to English teacher Rebecca Poyatt. Rebecca is one of our newest teachers at Field – but she is already making an impact! In addition to teaching middle school students, she also performs in the faculty/student music group.

Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Damascus, Maryland
What is your alma mater?
Catholic University of America and University of Georgia.
What is your favorite book or podcast?
Book - Starring Sally by J. Freedman As Herself by Judy Blume; Podcast - "Crime Junkie.”
What is something that people at The Field School might not know about you?
I am a tap dancer! I will be performing in a recital come June!
What hobbies do you have outside of The Field School?
Dancing and singing; sometimes performing in community theater shows; reading kid lit; rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.
What was the first concert you ever attended?
Tom Jones’ "What's New Pussycat?"
Who inspires you and why?
My mom inspires me by pushing me to be a better version of myself every day.
If you could share one piece of advice with your younger self, what would it be?
"Slow down, you're doing fine. You can't be everything you want to be before your time."
