Winter Internship

Trips

Beyond the traditional Winter Internship, each year Field runs several trips themed around each of the phrases in our mission statement that give students the chance to learn beyond the classroom and in the real world.

For the 2018-2019 school year...

The French Language & Culture Trip will travel to Paris and Aix-en-Provence, where students will visit historic sites, iconic monuments, and museums, and take day trips to immerse themselves in the region’s history. This trip is open to students enrolled in a French course at Field, Level III and above.

The Spanish Language & Culture Trip  will bring students to Madrid and Andalusia, where students will be immersed in Spanish language and culture while exploring museums, sampling traditional Spanish cuisine, watching and studying music and dance, and exploring eclectic and multi-ethnic neighborhoods. This trip is open to seniors currently enrolled in a Spanish course at Field.

The Generosity of Heart Trip provides an opportunity for interns to provide service to the Washington DC community in a variety of settings while living in community with other members of Field's community. Service opportunities include: providing food for people in need, environmental service, and working with youth. Students will fulfill their community service requirement by completing this internship.
