Field utilizes Ravenna Hub, an admission platform that enables families to submit and manage their application materials, register for upcoming tours and events, and communicate with our admission team.

How To Apply

The Application Process is comprised of the following:

  • Complete your application for admission, including a Parent Statement, Student Statement, and an application fee of $80 by the stated application deadline.
  • Schedule an interview with a member of The Field School's Admission Committee. Field interviews students and parents as part of our approach to a collaborative academic experience.
  • Submit report cards from the most current and previous school years.
  • Request English and math teacher recommendations.
  • Field does not require standardized admission tests or evaluations.
  • Register to attend admission events, including Discover Field and Tuesday Admission Tours, through your Ravenna account.

Key Admissions Dates

  1. Application Deadline: January 5, 2026; applications must include teacher recommendations, report cards, and personal statements. For schools that do not release grades until late January, please alert the Admission Office.
  2. Financial Aid Deadline: February 1, 2026; Families applying for financial aid should complete the application for aid and submit the required documents by February 1, 2026. For more information, visit the Tuition and Financial Aid page.
  3. Admission Decisions: March 7, 2026; Decisions are released to families through your Ravenna account and by email.

  • September 9: Holy Trinity School Fair (Open to the Public)
  • September 16: Reid Temple Christian Academy
  • October 7: Life After 8th Grade School Fair (open to families of Alexandria Country Day School, Browne Academy, Burgundy Farm Country Day School, Congressional School, Green Hedges School, Langley School, and Westminster School)
  • October 10: Norwood School Fair
  • October 19: Black Student Fund/Latino Student Fund Fair at University of DC (Open to the Public)
  • November 8: Mocha Moms of PG County School Fair (Open to the Public)
  • TBA: Jack & Jill School fair at Bowie State (Open to the public)
