Tuition & Financial Aid

Field believes in socioeconomic diversity as a part of its commitment to inclusivity. Our Board of Trustees sets tuition annually after carefully considering what the school needs to educate students according to our mission: Students discover their authentic selves and distinctive paths to become empathetic, creative thinkers who act boldly to shape our shared future.

Tuition for the 2023-24 School Year
Middle School (grades 6-8) $52,750
Upper School: (grades 9-12) $54,335

Tuition insurance is offered through Dewars and is required for any family choosing the two-payment and 10-payment plans.

Financial Aid

At Field, we strive to create an inclusive community of learners that reflects the culturally, racially, and economically diverse population of the D.C. metropolitan area. Our financial aid program increases access to a Field education. Field's financial aid budget is roughly 15% of our total operating budget each year, and the program assists 20% of the student population. All financial aid is need-based. If you anticipate the need for financial aid at any time in your student's tenure at Field, you are strongly encouraged to apply for aid in your first year. The Field School has a careful process for allocating its financial aid budget each year and across graduating classes. Therefore, Field cannot consider applications from families returning to the school unless the need is newly arisen. In such cases, the school will do its best to offer aid to meet the needs within its budget, but financial aid is not guaranteed.

The Field School uses School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. The code for The Field School is 200377.
