Interior Design

What grade level did you enter Field?

6th

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?

I chose to attend Field because of the student-teacher relationships and unique opportunities like internships and studios.

What has been your favorite class at Field?

I really enjoyed my 9th-grade Ancient History class taught by David K. I enjoyed his lectures about history and many of our interesting projects. We ended the year with a really fun project where we could choose any topic to study and then produce a creative project to represent our learning. I studied ancient Egyptian burials, and for my project, I recreated a trunk found in King Tut's tomb. I have also very much enjoyed my current History and Politics Through Film course (also taught by David K.) because of the opportunity to learn about movies, a topic I find very interesting.

What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?

  • Varsity Volleyball
  • Actor in Theater
  • Set Painter
  • Student Ambassador
  • Clay Club
  • Interior Design Club (Junior Year)

What has been your favorite memory at Field?

I really enjoyed all of my internship experiences, along with little moments of triumph, like the first time we won a volleyball game or finished a production.

What will you miss most about Field?

I will miss the academic support and many of the relationships I have formed here.

What advice would you give future Field seniors?

Try to enjoy all of the fun senior things while you can.

How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?

Along with academically preparing me for the future, they taught me self-advocacy and gave me the confidence to seek help when I needed it.
