Our next Senior Spotlight is Charles. Charles started at Field in 6th grade and now he’s heading to Tulane University. During his time at Field, Charles was an active member of our community – participating in Model UN and Field News, among other things. He is also an incredible athlete; he ran track, cross country, and played soccer and ultimate frisbee. Keep reading to find out his favorite memory from his time at Field. 

 

What major or subject area are you planning to pursue in college?

Undecided

What grade level did you enter Field?

6th

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?

I chose to attend Field because of the campus, smaller class sizes, and it was close to home.

What has been your favorite class and why?

Emerging Global Challenges because of how we learned about global politics and issues.

What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?

  • Model UN
  • Field News
  • Track/Cross Country
  • Soccer
  • Ultimate Frisbee

What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?

Model UN Conference at the University of Virginia during my junior year.

What will you miss most about Field?

The cherry blossoms in the spring.

What advice would you give future Field seniors?

The fall can feel slow while you’re waiting for college decisions, but once the first one comes in, senior year goes super fast, so enjoy it while you can.

How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?

I am not sure yet, but I think Field helped me improve my critical thinking skills.
