What major or subject area are you planning to pursue in college?

Africana Studies

What grade level did you enter at Field?

7th

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?

I chose to attend Field because I wanted to learn in an environment where my ideas were both challenged and appreciated, simultaneously.

What has been your favorite class at Field and why?

I’ve loved all my history courses at Field. These classes have not only provided me with actual information, but have also taught me how to approach historical sources and complete research independently. In addition to teaching the curriculum, many of my teachers have taken the time to implement meaningful discussions among students to stimulate independent thought and contemporary application of what we learn.

What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?

  • Soccer
  • Lacrosse
  • Student Diversity Leadership Committee (or now known as Committee for Unity, Belonging, and Equity)
  • Black Student Union
  • Music Selective

What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?

My favorite memory at Field was my very first gathering on September 4, 2018, when I first heard the class of 2019 senior class call out “SENIORS.” Since then, I had nothing but anticipation for the day that I would do the same during gatherings, 6 years later.

What will you miss most about Field?

I will miss the lively and supportive community present here at Field. Students, and faculty alike all share a passion and drive for their respective interests which is unique to the environment we have collectively created here.

What is your advice for future Field seniors?

Value every minute you spend in this wonderful community, time will move faster than you expect.

How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?

Field has equipped me with the skills I need to adapt to diverse social and intellectual environments. My teachers, mentors, and peers have all played a crucial role in my development as an individual—inside and outside of the classroom.
